How much is the conference registration fee? For attendees registering early, before October 1, 2000, conference registration costs $105 for members and $185 for nonmembers. Membership is $80 and we encourage you to join AEA when registering if you are not a member -- both can be done at the same time using the same form. After October 1 registration fees for both members and nonmembers go up by $40. Full-time students enrolled in at least 9 credits of coursework and who submit a letter from their advisor noting their full-time status are eligible for reduced registration of $45 before October 1 and $55 after October 1.

What does the conference registration fee cover? The conference registration fee permits you to attend your choice of over 175 sessions, including three plenaries featuring nationally and internationally known speakers, scheduled between Wednesday, November 1 at 4:00 pm and Saturday, November 4, at 5:00 pm. Plus, you may attend the receptions held Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings (hors d'oeuvres are included but beverages are purchased through a cash bar). The AEA Luncheon on Friday and Saturday night's cruise following the reception both require the purchase of separate tickets.

What is the fee for the professional development workshops preceding and following the conference? Professional development workshops are scheduled in three or six hour blocks between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon or 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm on Wednesday, November 1 and between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon on Sunday, November 5. These cost $75 per half-day or $150 per full day for members, $100 per half-day and $200 per full-day for nonmembers, and $40 per half-day and $80 per full day for students.

When and how can I register? Registration materials will be sent in hardcopy to members in late June and will be available on the web at that time as well.
